How it all started
After studying police techniques at CEGEP in 1991, I had to leave that path—not for lack of interest, but because I was clearly made to feel I didn’t belong. At the time, without the knowledge I have today, I chose to move on. My partner—now my wife—was expecting our first daughter. Skilled in IT, I turned to graphic design training. Diploma in hand, baby arrived, I began offering my services directly from our small apartment.
The underground years
In 1995, working from my first shared studio, I welcomed my first clients—mostly underground artists. In the 90s, event promotion relied on flyers and posters, a specialty I quickly mastered.
The arrival of the internet: a turning point
In 2000, as more families connected to the internet, I launched a website promoting all Black community events in Montreal. It was a major success—until social media came along and changed everything.
The evolution of my clientele
By 2010, my client base had expanded to include young entrepreneurs, politicians, merchants, and many long-time clients. I owned my own machines and offered both graphic design and printing. I built a strong reputation within the community.

Looking back, I realize that even if it wasn’t my original dream, this is truly what I do best. I embraced opportunities, evolved with the market, and stayed true to my passion: creating.
